The project
The Band Brings Us Closer offers a series of weekday morning concerts, a format that makes it easier for people who find it hard to attend the usual afternoon or evening concerts to take part.
It grew out of the collaboration between Apropa Cultura, L'Auditori and the Barcelona Municipal Band, with popular repertoires drawn from opera, cinema and jazz.

Timetable barriers
We adapt the cultural format to the times when these groups can actually get to the venues.
Mobility barriers
We build a support network between care homes, day centres and venues so the outing is workable and safe.
Barriers to accessing culture
We offer experiences for people left out of the usual programme by narrow formats and timetables.
